PROLINE 21

Proline Desktop TrainerThe advanced integrated Proline 21 avionics suite available in the King Air allows greater situational awareness by increasing the amount of information available in the cockpit. The challenge is integrating this information in a timely manner that maximizes aircraft efficiency while increasing safety. Unfortunately, without the proper training, the system can be extremely demanding to use while increasing pilot workload during critical phases of flight. I have created an effective training solution that incorporates the Rockwell Collins Virtual Avionics Desk Top Trainer. I combine computer based training with my 20 years of FMC experience to mentor you on the how to accurately utilize all aspects of the Proline 21. Since the Proline Desk Top Trainer utilizes the actual software installed in your King Air, it looks and operates just like the equipment in your aircraft. This course will save you time, money and frustration. Unlike, self taught programs on a CD, I work with you during the entire course. This allows you to repeat a procedure until you understand each component of the system and how it integrates with entire avionics package. Completion of this 6 hour course imparts the necessary knowledge, skill and confidence to operate the King Air Proline 21 system.

The course is offered at my office as a stand alone program or it can be added to any initial or recurrent training package. Proline 21 flight training is available at your airport in your aircraft at an additional cost.

FEE: $495 per pilot.

GARMIN

Nothing beats hands on experience when it comes to learning a new piece of Garmin equipment. No video or book can replicate using the equipment installed your airplane. For most pilots, reading or watching a video about how to program your GPS is tedious and counterproductive. In short, it doesn't lead to long term retention.

GarminThat is why I have developed a new method. Here's how it works:

1. I utilize Computer Based Training to introduce you to the operation and features of the Garmin.

2. We fly a scenario based flight in your airplane specifically designed to enhance your understanding of the Garmin WAAS unit and how it integrates with your autopilot and F/D.

I specialize in teaching the following Garmin units:

G1000, G600, GFC700, GTN750/650, GNS 530W/430W, and the GMX200.

Completion of this 6 hour course imparts the necessary knowledge, skill and confidence to operate any Garmin equipment installed in your King Air.

The course is offered at my office as a stand alone program or it can be added to any initial or recurrent training package. Garmin specific flight training is available at your airport in your aircraft at an additional cost.

FEE: $495 per pilot.

AIRBORNE WEATHER RADAR

Airborne Weather RadarAs an airline captain and check airman, it was part of my job to teach other pilots how to use the radar. Flying in the Southeast, I honed my own techniques, while teaching line pilots the limitations and image interpretation of the radar units. I now specialize in providing customized one-on-one radar training tailored to your specific aircraft radar. The foundation of my 4-6 hour training program is a brief overview of radar basics followed by hands on operation of your radar.

I utilize Computer Based Training to introduce you to the operation and features of the radar including:

  1. Understanding basic radar systems
  2. Reflectivity
  3. Attenuation
  4. Radar beam characteristics
  5. Stabilization & Tilt control
  6. Gain control
  7. Turbulence mode
  8. Color radar
  9. Common malfunctions
  10. Integration with Nexrad
  11. Understanding cell shape, rate of growth and gradient
  12. Geographical considerations

We fly a scenario based flight in your airplane specifically designed to enhance your understanding of the actual radar unit installed in your King Air. Here you will learn to:

  1. Evaluating weather scenarios
  2. Preflight check
  3. Ground operations/taxi
  4. Setting Tilt for takeoff
  5. Cruise considerations
  6. Safe Over-flight of thunderstorms
  7. Terminal and approach considerations

The course is offered at my office as a stand alone program or it can be added to any initial or recurrent training package. The Airborne Weather Radar training course is available at your airport in your aircraft at an additional cost.

FEE: $495 per pilot.
